Old North Church’s steeple is famous for its role in the lead-up to the Revolutionary War, as the site of the lanterns held aloft that led to Paul Revere's ride. It is also a church financed in its early years largely through the slave trade.

The Old North Foundation brought on Steve Boyd-Smith and Chris Evans to develop a concept for exhibits in the space just beyond the existing tour area. Working together, we helped formulate purposes, audience, and story. From that we conceived an exhibit that meets ONC's anti-racist goals by expanding the story to the present with examples of people here making change, leading to a call to action that encourages visitors to take part in their own communities.

Project through 106 Group, with Chris Evans of Drumminhands Design
