Alabama African American

Alabama
2019 - 2020
The Alabama African American Civil Rights Heritage Sites Consortium (AAACRHSC) is a collaboration of 20 historic places of worship, lodging, and civic engagement. Located in Birmingham, Montgomery, Selma, and the Black Belt, these sites played significant roles in the African American struggle for freedom.

Amplifier helped the Consortium plan the purpose and outlines of both a long-term exhibit and a small traveling exhibit to reach throughout the state.

We became Amplifier after the experience of working with this consortium of civil rights sites across Alabama. Their motto, “Plan With, Not For” roots us.
